Black Ops Bots Help PLEASE!!!!?

I played bots at my friends house on MY PS3 splitscreen and now that im home it wont let me play splitscreen but it will let me play singleplayer. I was connected to PSN at his house but not at mine. DO YOU HAVE TO BE CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET TO PLAY BOTS LOCAL SPLITSCREEN???
