Civil war: washington territory?

Did any soldiers from the washington territory fight in the civil war? I know that there was a army unit called 1st regiment washington territory volunteer infantry. For my project I need to name an officer in each army unit of the washington territory (I can use the 1st regiment one for different sections like company a, b exc.) where the officer is from, if they're on the union or confederate, and what battles they fought in. please help!!!!
