Syrian hamster or Guinea pig?

I think you should get a guinea pig. Guinea pigs are friendly and social. They are bigger than hamster but are all the more fun. They also cost more, but they live longer. Guinea pigs can live up to 8+ years if taken care of properly. Hamsters can live from a couple of days, to a couple of weeks, to a couple of moths, to about 2 years. Hamsters are not very friendly and tend to bite. They do not like being picked up and usually hide away in there cage most of the time. Hamsters sleep during the day and are awake during the night. They will barely come out during the day, but will keep you up all night. Guinea pigs are most active in the day and sleep most of the night.
